Agile WoW Assessment

Get insights into Agile Health, Capabilities & opportunities

Agile assessments clarify the current Agile state of an organization or team:

  • What are the current capabilities and gaps in relation to the target outcomes?

  • How ready are people in terms of mindset and skills?

  • What guardrails and constraints exist?

  • What is the current health of the team?

This activity is performed through interviews, retrospectives, surveys, data analysis, and root cause drill-downs. The result helps to prioritize changes and skill building.

The best timing of assessments is therefore at the start of an Agile journey, with regular re-assessments after changes are rolled out.

AGILE SCAN (synthesis in Miro)

With a Miro map we synthesize and analyze the findings into a complete visualization of outcomes, effects, root causes, and constraints for multiple dimensions.

We use radar charts to visualize health and progress over time and the gaps relative to target capabilities.

With these artifacts, we can then define and prioritize the changes and skills that will help build the Agile WoW capabilities needed for achieving the outcomes.

Change backlog

We jointly build a Change Backlog with prioritized Agile changes and improvements.

Items include:
Themes to reflect strategic business goals and Agile targets.
Epics that each focus on a specific capability or change area.
Story Mapping and OKRs to strategize a roadmap with priorities.
Stories—incremental changes that we can design and roll out.
Kanban board to plan, share and track activities.
